Everything you should know before booking

Changes & cancellations
We work as an intermediary between you and the airlines, hotels and tour operators that actually provide the travel service. Because of that, the exact change and cancellation terms for each booking depend first on that specific supplier's policy — not only on us. That said, here's what generally applies:
- Deposit & confirmation: most bookings require a deposit (or full payment) to be confirmed with the supplier. That deposit is usually fully or partially non-refundable, depending on that supplier's terms.
- Cancellations: if you cancel, the supplier's policy for that booking applies (we explain it to you before confirming). If we also charge an agency service fee, that fee is normally non-refundable regardless of what the supplier refunds.
- Date or name changes: these usually carry an additional cost from the supplier, and an agency service fee may be added. We'll let you know the exact cost before confirming any change.
- Final payments: if your booking has a remaining balance, we'll let you know the payment deadline — missing it can result in automatic cancellation by the supplier.
- Force majeure: events outside our control (severe weather, government restrictions, strikes, etc.) are handled according to the supplier's policy at that time; we'll do our best to help you with alternatives.
- Travel insurance: we recommend considering travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies and other unexpected events.
The exact terms of your booking (amounts, deadlines and supplier policy) are always confirmed to you in writing before you make any payment.
Other things you should know
- Prices shown on the site or given by Blu are initial estimates, subject to real availability at the time of confirmation.
- All prices are in US dollars (USD).
- It's your responsibility to have a valid passport and, if applicable, the visas required for your destination — check requirements ahead of time.
- We are not responsible for delays, itinerary changes or cancellations decided directly by airlines, hotels or tour operators, although we'll do our best to help you resolve them.
- We will never ask for full payment upfront without first confirming your booking details to you in writing.
Privacy policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or talk with Blu (our chat assistant), how we use it, and what choices you have.
What information we collect
- Information you give us: name, phone number, email address, destination of interest, number of travelers, approximate dates, budget, and any other detail you share with Blu in chat or by email.
- Basic technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical information (such as IP address) for security and operational purposes. We do not currently use analytics or advertising tools on the site.
How we use your information
We use the information you share with us to respond to your inquiry, put together a comparison of travel options, contact you about your request, and confirm your booking details with the relevant suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators).
Who we share your information with
- Travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators) as needed to complete your booking.
- Service providers we use to run the site (for example, email delivery and data storage).
- We never sell your personal information to third parties.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely fail-proof. If you believe your information was compromised, contact us right away.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to review, correct, or delete the information we have about you by writing to info@bluetravelserviceinc.com.
California residents
If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) may give you additional rights over your personal information, such as knowing what information we have, asking us to delete it, or asking us not to sell it (we don't sell personal information, so this last one doesn't apply). Write to us to exercise these rights.
Michigan residents
Michigan currently does not have a comprehensive consumer privacy law (unlike states such as California). Even so, your information is handled in line with Michigan's general consumer-protection and data-breach-notification laws, and applicable federal law.
Children
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

This site uses very little browser storage, and in a limited way:
- Language preference: we save the language you chose (Spanish/English) in your browser (via localStorage, not a traditional cookie), so you don't have to pick it again on your next visit. This information never leaves your browser and isn't shared with anyone.
- Internal admin session cookie: we use a secure, technical cookie only when our own team logs into the site's admin panel — regular site visitors never receive this cookie.
- We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or social-media cookies to track your browsing.
If we add analytics tools or other cookies in the future, we'll update this policy to reflect that.
